BANGKOK (AP): Thai Airways International said Thursday that its board has approved an investment plan to order 12 new airplanes -- eight from Airbus and four from Boeing.
The planes include five Airbus A300-600Rs and three A330-300s, plus one Boeing B777-300 and one B747-400 to be ordered by Sept. 30 and another each of the Boeings over the next two years.
Currently, Thai plans to take delivery of one A330-300 and four B777-300s over the next two fiscal years and hopes new investment and traffic plans will enhance efficiency.
