TGI Friday opens second outlet
JAKARTA (JP): TGI Friday, a subsidiary of Carlson Hospitality Worldwide of the United States, has opened its second restaurant located at the refurbished Taman Ria Senayan in Central Jakarta.
The restaurant, run by PT Tri Saga Sarana, the domestic franchiser of TGI Friday in Indonesia, is TGI Friday's 410th outlet in the world.
Tri's chief executive officer, Brigitta Sastranegara, said Saturday that Rp 2.5 billion had been invested in the restaurant.
The new TGI Friday, 408 square meters in size, has a capacity to hold 200 guests.
Sastranegara said that Tri would open a number of TGI Fridays in Surabaya, Bandung, Medan and Bali within the next few years. The first TGI Friday is located at the Ascott in Central Jakarta.
Carlson, which runs other restaurants under the Front Row Sport Grill Restaurant and Italianni's Restaurant names, plans to open more outlets at Taman Ria Senayan. (icn)
