BANDUNG, West Java (JP): The Indonesian Textile Association
will conduct an exhibition on textiles and textile-related
products at the Jakarta Fairground in May.
The chairman of the association's West Java branch, Ade
Sudradjat, told journalists here over the weekend that the event,
called Indo Textile 96, aims to help stimulate Indonesia's
textile exports, which have been stagnant during the last few
years.
Hengky Iriawan, a director of PT Praga Nusantara Jaya Sakti,
one of the expo's organizers, said that 75 exhibitors from 10
countries have confirmed their participation at the expo and
1,000 buyers from 60 countries are expected to visit it.
"Those who will come here are mostly our trade partners who
already recognize the quality of our products," Hengky said.
