Testing 'Si Polan' from Central Java Police, Asking for Eid Travel Info via WhatsApp Chatbot Gets Comprehensive Response

The Central Java Regional Police has introduced a digital service named Si Polan (Sistem Informasi Polisi Lalu Lintas). This chatbot service is capable of providing comprehensive information on Eid travel traffic flows.

The public can access the Si Polan service via the WhatsApp application at number 0811270110. Quick and complete responses are provided when inquiring about Eid traffic conditions.

detikcom tested the Si Polan application directly. In the initial conversation, Si Polan offers 9 information menus for travellers seeking details. This information ranges from traffic conditions, Eid routes and alternative paths to valet ride services for Eid 2026 and live traffic CCTV feeds.

Travellers can select the number corresponding to the information they seek. The Si Polan service then provides detailed information according to the traveller’s request.

detikcom then conducted a simulation as a traveller from Pati heading back to Jakarta at 1:00 PM WIB. In this simulation, detikcom asked about traffic conditions on the Pantura route.

In less than one minute, Si Polan provided a detailed answer. This digital service then gave information on the distance and estimated travel time when driving from Pati to Jakarta via the Pantura route.

The Si Polan service also explains the current traffic conditions along the journey. Additionally, weather conditions in the destination city and a Google Maps navigation link from Pati to Jakarta via the Pantura route are included in Si Polan’s response.

detikcom also conducted a follow-up simulation by asking about the travel route from Sidoarjo, East Java, to Subang, West Java. The Si Polan service then provided detailed answers regarding travel information if using the toll road or the Pantura route. Current traffic conditions and Google Maps navigation links are also included.

The Si Polan service is also capable of answering questions about food recommendations. When asked about recommended eateries in Bandung and Madura, the service provided answers listing several restaurants along with their ratings and full addresses.

The Head of Public Relations for Central Java Police, Senior Commissioner Artanto, stated that this service is active and can be accessed by the public 24 hours a day. He said that the presence of this service is part of strengthening technology-based public services designed so that information related to Eid travel can be obtained quickly, practically, and accurately.

“In the digital era, the speed and accuracy of information are very important. The presence of Si Polan is expected to make it easier for the public to access official information related to Eid travel, help travellers choose safe routes, and increase public trust in precise police services,” Artanto told reporters on Tuesday (24/3/2026).

He added that this digital service innovation is expected to provide a sense of security and comfort for the public undertaking Eid travel, while supporting the realisation of a orderly, safe, and enjoyable 2026 Eid exodus in line with the slogan Safe Eid Travel, Happy Family.
