Tesla confirms support for Supervised FSD features for the Chinese market
Jakarta (ANTARA) – The American automotive company Tesla has officially confirmed that the Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised system now supports the Chinese market. The information was announced via Tesla’s official X account, which displays the latest global FSD layout and explicitly lists compatibility for the China region. However, Tesla has not yet disclosed a precise launch schedule for local customers. Previously, CEO Elon Musk stated that Tesla would shift the US FSD model to a subscription scheme priced at $99 per month (about Rp1.7 million) with a 30-day free trial. In China, however, Tesla maintains the option to purchase the ‘Full Self-Driving’ package with a price of 64,000 yuan or around Rp166 million. Tesla’s Chief Financial Officer said the company is working with Chinese regulators to obtain full FSD approval in Q3 2026. Tesla China has also updated the vehicle manual to version 2026.14, which now lists the full FSD V14 features. Technologically, Tesla has begun rolling out FSD V14.3.3 in overseas markets. The system is claimed to have more precise spatial assessment capabilities and better traffic-sign recognition. Amid preparations for the FSD launch, Tesla’s sales in China in April 2026 were 25,956 units, down 9.7% year-on-year and down 53.7% from the previous month. Of that total, the Model Y accounted for 22,990 units and was the third-best-selling model in the Chinese market for that month.
