Terror suspects plan more attacks
JAKARTA: Prime Bali and Jakarta bombing suspects Dr. Azahari
and Noordin M. Top, who are still at large, continue to plan
more terror attacks in Indonesia, National Police Chief Gen Da'i
Bachtiar said here on Friday.
"I received information from sources in Malaysia that the
prime suspects in the Bali and JW Marriott Hotel bombings still
want to attack Indonesia, especially the National Police
Headquarters," Da'i said.
Da'i said as long as the two suspects were still at large
Indonesia would not be free from bomb threats.
"We continue to hunt them down. This is an important task for
us because they have proved capable of packing an L300 minivan
with explosives, something that could only have been done by an
expert," Da'i said.
Earlier in the day, the police chief met a U.S. ambassador-at-
large to discuss cooperation to improve police's counterterrorism
capability. -- Antara
