Terra Drone Indonesia CEO Apologises to Staff, Urges Mutual Support and Continued Creativity
Jakarta — PT Terra Drone Indonesia’s Chief Executive Officer Michael Wisnu Wardana apologised to around 50 employees present in the Central Jakarta District Court on Tuesday, 19 May 2026. The apology was delivered after the reading of his plea hearing had concluded. ‘Sorry if this sounds a little melodramatic. First, I apologise; I have not been operational since the end of last year because I am undergoing legal proceedings,’ Wardana said, standing before the staff. He then extended his apologies to the families of the 22 employees who died in the company office fire on 9 December 2025. He said reconciliation efforts with all the victims’ families are ongoing. Furthermore, Wardana urged the remaining Terra Drone Indonesia staff to look after one another and to continue producing and contributing. He expressed hope that the staff would continue to shape Indonesia’s drone industry. ‘This is because the mission we carry does fit with what I told you on your first day here. We Channel value into the industry, but we also make this drone industry a livelihood that provides decent jobs in Indonesia,’ he explained. He closed his message by thanking the employees for their support and wishing them good health. Separately, in his personal plea, Wardana asked the PN Jakarta Pusat judges to hand down the lightest possible sentence. He then outlined six factors that he believes the judges should consider to mitigate the punishment in the case of the office fire that killed 22 employees. First, he stated that he had cooperated throughout the legal process. Second, PT Terra Drone Indonesia, which he leads, has pursued reconciliation with all the victims’ families.
