The reading of the verdict is scheduled, according to the Central Jakarta District Court’s Case Information System (SIPP) website, Thursday (21 May 2026). The hearing is planned to begin at 13:00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB). The Terra Drone office fire occurred on Tuesday 9 December 2025.

The indictment hearing was held at the Jakarta Corruption Court (Pengadilan Tipikor Jakarta) on Monday (11 May). The prosecutor said that the negligence resulted in the deaths of 22 Terra Drone employees.
“The defendant Michael Wisnu Wardhana Siagian has been proven beyond reasonable doubt to have committed a crime due to his negligence that caused the death of another person, in violation of Article 474(3) of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Indonesian Penal Code as stated in the prosecutor’s first indictment,” the prosecutor said as he read the verdict.”
“Therefore, the defendant Michael Wisnu Wardhana Siagian is sentenced to two years in prison, minus the time already spent in custody and detention. The defendant shall remain in detention,” the prosecutor added.
The prosecutor also outlined aggravating and mitigating factors. As an aggravating factor, the prosecutor stated that the defendant’s actions resulted in the deaths of 22 Terra Drone employees.
“Mitigating factors include the defendant’s cooperative attitude, his admission and remorse, his lack of prior convictions, and there has been a settlement between the defendant and 20 of the victims’ families,” the prosecutor explained.
