Terra Drone Boss Claims He Was Not Informed by Building Owner About Expired SLF
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The President Director of PT Terra Drone, Michael Wishnu Wardana, claims he was not informed that the building’s Certificate of Functional Worthiness (SLF) status, where his company’s office is located, had expired since 2020.
During the lease agreement at the notary in 2023, Michael received no information about the SLF from Nyauw Gunarto, the building owner.
“First, I want to clarify that the information regarding the expired SLF did not reach me,” Michael stated during the trial for the PT Terra Drone Indonesia office fire at the Central Jakarta District Court in Kemayoran on Wednesday (22/4/2026).
Michael admitted that when he arrived at the notary’s office in 2023, he was slightly late.
However, as he recalls, the discussion with the building owner at that time was merely an introduction.
According to Michael, the meeting with Gunarto was also attended by a property agent.
“After signing the lease agreement, I, along with my employee Philip, and the property agent, immediately inspected the building,” Michael explained.
At that time, they found no infrastructure for a security system to handle fire disasters.
“We did not find a fire alarm, we also did not find a sprinkler, or speakers (for announcements). These were not found. And we conveyed this to the property agent,” Michael clarified.
However, he submitted a request for the deficiencies in fire mitigation equipment to be completed.
That request was conveyed by Michael to his employee named Philip.
“We submitted the request through my employee Philip, regarding what was lacking, such as fire mitigation. This was conveyed verbally to the property agent,” Michael revealed.
Michael’s statement in the trial was refuted by Nyauw Gunarto.
