Terra Drone Boss Claims 20 Victims Agree to Settlement, Compensation Rp 150-200 Million
Michael Wisnu made this statement during his examination as the defendant at the Central Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (5/5/2026). The total number of fatalities in the fire reached 22 people.
“Out of the 22, 20 have expressed their agreement to settle. For one, the resolution or statement process is ongoing, and for the last one, there are communication difficulties. But we don’t want to be too aggressive, although we are making efforts, and we haven’t stopped them up to now,” said Michael Wisnu.
The judge asked about the amount of material compensation provided to the victims. Michael said the value varied depending on the length of employment, position, and salary.
“Out of those 20, how much materially per person?” asked member judge Sunoto.
“Various, Your Honour,” Michael replied.
“Various meaning by position or what?” the judge asked.
“Length of service, position, from their salary,” Michael replied.
Michael said the victims received compensation above Rp 100 million. He mentioned that there are still two victims who have not yet provided written settlement statements.
“Out of those 20, above how much?” the judge asked.
“On average around Rp 150 million, because some are around Rp 200 million,” Michael replied.
“So it can be said all above 100?” the judge asked.
“Yes. Excluding BPJS and others,” Michael replied.
“From the company?” the judge asked.
“From the company,” Michael replied.
Michael said one victim is still in the process of making a settlement statement this week. Meanwhile, the other one is hindered by distance and communication with the victim’s parents who are outside the area.
“Why is this? Because the family is not in the location or the place is far or what?” the judge asked.
“Yes, the information I have is that the employment is outside the area,” Michael replied.
“Family from what? Wife, child, husband, or parents?” the judge asked.
“Parents of the victim,” Michael replied.
