TEPCO to join Bayu Undan's project

TOKYO: Tokyo Electric Power Co., or TEPCO, and Tokyo Gas Co.
will join Phillips Petroleum Co.'s Bayu-Udan liquefied natural
gas project in the Timor Sea, an industry source said Tuesday.

The two Japanese companies said they will hold a news briefing
at 0730 GMT (2.30 p.m. Jakarta time) about their joint
participation in an LNG project in Australia and joint purchase
of LNG from that project.

A TEPCO spokesman declined to elaborate. -Dow Jones
