Tendean Road in South Jakarta Closed Due to Demolition of Damaged Pedestrian Bridge
Jalan Kapten Tendean in Mampang, South Jakarta, was closed in two lanes on Tuesday afternoon due to the demolition of a pedestrian bridge (JPO) that was hit by a truck the previous night. The closure has caused traffic congestion in the surrounding areas of Jalan Kapten Tendean, including Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jalan Wijaya, Senopati, and Jalan Tutty Awaliyah. According to observations, officers closed the road and prohibited vehicles from passing starting from the Senopati traffic light. Several motorcyclists who initially attempted to pass were forced to turn back as the road was completely closed, compelling them to seek alternative routes. The pedestrian bridge was nearly collapsed after being struck by a truck carrying heavy equipment or a crane.
