Tendean Pedestrian Bridge Nearly Collapses After Being Hit by Crane Truck

A truck transporting a crane struck a pedestrian bridge (JPO) on Jalan Kapten Tendean, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (14/7) at 01:28 WIB. According to the Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Management Centre, the impact caused structural damage to the bridge, which was nearly brought down. The Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) stated that the driver is suspected of lacking concentration while driving due to using a mobile phone. As of Tuesday morning, the crane truck had not yet been evacuated from the scene. Officials are urging motorists to avoid the affected road section as traffic congestion is expected.
