Tencent Games Unveils 45 Major Announcements at SPARK 2026, Reinforces Next-Gen Gaming Strategy
Shenzhen, China — Tencent Games has shared 45 significant announcements for the Chinese and global markets at its annual SPARK 2026 event. Through three main categories — Game Development, Publishing, and Investment — the company unveiled gameplay updates, new IP collaborations, cross-platform experiences, and audiovisual innovations powered by technological advancements. The move further cements Tencent Games’ position as a global leader in game development, publishing, and operations.
SPARK 2026 also brought together new and experienced gamers to celebrate creativity, innovation, and the evolving future of the gaming industry through technological progress, while discussing Tencent Games’ long-term strategies. The company’s primary focus includes expanding its global IP portfolio and delivering more immersive in-game and out-of-game experiences for players worldwide.
Arcane Immersive Show
The world’s first live interactive experience from League of Legends has officially launched in Shanghai. Supervised by Riot Games and produced alongside Tencent Video, Tencent Games, Shanghai Media Group Live, and Wajijiwa Entertainment, the project also involves renowned immersive theatre company Punchdrunk. Attendees can explore large-scale replicas of Piltover and Zaun, follow Jinx and Vi’s journeys up close, and enjoy over 30 live songs including ‘Enemy’. Arena Breakout: Infinite
Arena Breakout: Infinite showcased Season 5: Distortion, now available. The update introduces Distorted Valley mode with four unique operator abilities, PvE No Man’s Land, Warlord Tournament, and Boss Rally modes. Tencent Games describes Season 5: Distortion as the most revolutionary update to date. As a high-stakes tactical extraction shooter, players must fight, loot, and survive or lose everything. Realistic visuals, immersive audio, and intense PvPvE combat are key attractions.
Arma Reforger
Arma Reforger, Bohemia Interactive’s military simulator sandbox game, now features Version 1.6 with the single-player campaign ‘Operation Omega’. The update includes a new free map named ‘Kolguyev’ with challenging terrain for PvP and PvE. A new FIA Resistance faction will be available in Version 1.7, set for release soon.
Animula Nook
Animula Nook, a Lilliput-style fantasy life sim, has recorded over eight million global pre-registrations ahead of its official launch. At SPARK 2026, Tencent introduced Insoul, a new Minies race for the next test phase, alongside major updates to action, social, and character memory systems. This cosmic dark fantasy-themed card roguelite deck-builder will officially launch in mainland China on 28 May. Developed by SUPER CREATIVE, a Smilegate studio, and published by Tencent Games, Chinese players will receive exclusive early access to the Eastern mysticism-inspired character Fei, alongside new gameplay content for custom deck building.
CONTROL Resonant
Developed by Finland’s Remedy Entertainment, CONTROL Resonant is an action RPG set for release on PC and consoles in 2026. Featuring Remedy’s most comprehensive localization to date, it offers full Simplified Chinese voice acting, interface, and subtitles. Players take on the role of Dylan Faden, exploring a Manhattan reshaped by cosmic invasions altering reality, gravity, and natural laws. They can navigate surreal environments, use supernatural abilities, customise playstyles, and wield unique Aberrant weapons.
Cosmo Tales
The new retro sci-fi shooter Cosmo Tales has officially announced an Early Access release in September. Players will use vehicles inspired by the iconic Škoda 1203 car to explore an intriguing universe through cosmic adventures and intense combat.
DayZ
Bohemia Interactive’s classic open-world survival game DayZ has announced its new ‘Badlands’ expansion, introducing a fresh frontier environment and the largest map in DayZ history at 267 square kilometres.
