Ten-vehicle pile-up on the Cipularang Toll Road towards Jakarta leaves two dead and four seriously injured

A multi-vehicle traffic accident involving ten vehicles occurred on the Cipularang Toll Road toward Jakarta, at kilometer 93, resulting in two fatalities and four injuries. “The accident involved 10 vehicles and temporarily rendered all lanes impassable,” said Agni Mayvinna, Senior Manager Representative Office 3 of Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division Plaza Tol Pasteur Bandung, in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday. He explained that the pile-up happened on Thursday, 5 March 2026, at 20:18 WIB. According to preliminary information from field officers, four other people sustained serious injuries. “All victims who have been evacuated were taken to Rumah Sakit Radjak Purwakarta for further treatment,” Agni added. Officers from Representative Office 3 Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad (JMT), which manages the Cipularang toll segment, were at the scene, together with the Patroli Jalan Raya, wreckers, ambulances, and Mobile Customer Service (MCS). Officials were working to evacuate vehicles and regulate traffic, so that at 20:59 WIB one lane could be traversed. By 21:43 WIB, two lanes were again passable for road users. The cause of the incident remains under police investigation. “Jasa Marga apologises for the inconvenience experienced during the evacuation process.
