Ten-vehicle pile-up occurred at Km 93 of the Cipularang Toll Road towards Jakarta. It was reported that there were fatalities. Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division Marketing and Communications Head Panji Satriya said the accident happened on Thursday (5 March) at 20:18 WIB. The accident has been handled by police.

‘The accident involved 10 vehicles and caused all lanes to be impassable. Field officers are still at the scene,’ Panji said in a statement on Thursday (5 March 2026).

Based on preliminary information from field officers, two people died and four were seriously injured. All victims have been evacuated to Radjak Purwakarta Hospital for further treatment.

‘Jasa Marga apologised for the inconvenience during the evacuation process,’ he said. ‘Officers from the Representative Office 3 of Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad (JMT), as the operator of the Cipularang Toll Road, have been at the scene along with the Highway Patrol, rescue, tow, ambulance, and Mobile Customer Service (MCS).’

Currently, officers are working to evacuate victims and vehicles and to quickly restore traffic as needed. At 20:59 WIB, one lane had been opened to traffic and at 21:43 WIB, two lanes had been opened again for road users. ‘As of now, the cause of the accident is still under police investigation,’ he added.
