Ten students win scholarships

PALEMBANG, South Sumatra: Ten students from 1,802 hopefuls at
Raudhatul Ulum Islamic boarding school in the Ogan Komering Ilir
district town of Sakatiga, South Sumatra, have won scholarships
to study Islam at Egypt's leading institute of higher learning,
Al Azhar University.

The ten will leave for Cairo later this month, chairman of the
Raudhatul Ulum Foundation H. Tolat Wafa Ahmad told Antara.

The school, founded in 1950, sent 12 scholarship students to
Al Azhar in 1994 and 1995.
