Ten Stab Wounds Found on TNI Soldier Murdered in South Tangerang

Police have disclosed the condition of Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) soldier Arif Budi Sampurna, who was found dead in a suspected murder on Jalan Raya Pondok Hijau Golf, Kelapa Dua, Tangerang Regency. Authorities stated there were ten stab wounds on the victim’s body.

“From the examination results, the victim had five stab wounds on the front and five on the back,” said South Tangerang Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKP Wira Graha Setiawan to reporters on Tuesday (21/7/2026).

The victim’s body has now been handed over to the family. When found, Wira said, the victim’s mobile phone was missing.

“At the scene, we only found identification. Subsequently, some missing items, including the mobile phone, were also found by us at another location,” he explained.

The case investigation was led by South Tangerang Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKP Wira Graha Setiawan together with Kelapa Dua Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKP Rovi. The case began with the discovery of a man lying on the roadside on Sunday (19/7) at around 5.45 am Western Indonesian Time.

“The South Tangerang Police Criminal Investigation Unit has successfully uncovered the murder case of a man believed to be an Indonesian Army personnel,” said South Tangerang Police Chief AKBP Boy Jumalolo when contacted on Tuesday (21/7).

A joint team immediately moved to investigate and process the crime scene. In less than 24 hours, officers managed to identify and arrest four suspects in several locations not far from the scene.

“The four suspects have the initials BR, RRGB, MKN, and H, who committed violence against the victim,” he added.
