Ten Indonesian Entrants into All England Second Round as Two Matches Pit PBSI Training Camp Residents
Ten Indonesian representatives have secured places in the last 16 of All England 2026. The second round of the world’s oldest badminton tournament will be staged at the Utilita Arena Birmingham on Thursday, 5 March 2026, from 17:00 WIB.
Of the ten representatives, two will have to pack their bags early as they face fellow Pelatnas Cipayung players. The so‑called civil war matches will take place in the mixed doubles and men’s doubles events. The positive side is that two quarter-final berths have already been secured for Indonesia.
In the mixed doubles, the young pair Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu will face their seniors Amri Syahnawi/Nita Violina Marwah. Head‑to‑head, Jafar/Felisha lead 3-2 and won the most recent meeting at the Hong Kong Open 2025.
Meanwhile in men’s doubles, a surprise pairing sees the young Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin taking on the seeded Fajar Alfian/Shohibul Fikri. Raymond/Nikolaus carry confidence after defeating them in their most recent meeting at the Indonesia Masters 2026.
In the men’s singles, hope rests on Jonatan Christie and Alwi Farhan. Jonatan will face Lin Chun‑Yi (Chinese Taipei). Although he leads the head‑to‑head 3-2, Jonatan was beaten in their most recent meeting at the India Open 2026.
As for Alwi Farhan, he is up against the senior Chinese Taipei player Chou Tien‑Chen. In terms of head‑to‑head, Alwi trails 0-2, so he will need his best performance to turn the tide.
In the women’s singles, Putri Kusuma Wardani will meet Kim Ga‑uun (South Korea). The head‑to‑head is level at 2-2, but Putri won the latest encounter at the Korea Open 2025.
In the women’s doubles, Indonesia has two representatives. Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti will be challenged by the top Japanese pair Yuki Fukushima/Mayu Matsumoto. Meanwhile Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari will take on Rin Iwanaga/Kie Nakanishi (Japan) in a bid to avenge their defeat at the 2025 French Open.
