He said that, along with the relevant stakeholders, around 72,000 additional personnel were prepared. ‘The security targets in the Ketupat Operation security operation amount to 317,664 personnel for the Police themselves, followed by 72,000 for the related stakeholders,’ Faisal said during a discussion titled ‘Sinergi Pemerintah dan Stakeholder buat Mudik 2026 Aman dan Nyaman’ at the Parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday, 5 March 2026.

The number of security targets that the operation focuses on reaches 185,544 locations. These include 618 terminals, 268 railway stations, 562 ports, and 2,962 shopping centres.

‘Additionally, airports 182, tourist attractions 4,640, mosques 121,796, and Eid al-Fitr prayer locations 54,000,’ he said.

Faisal said that besides personnel, thousands of security posts would also be prepared. He noted that the posts are spread across various regions.

‘The total number of Ketupat Operation posts in 2026 is 2,756 posts, comprising 784 service posts, 1,629 security posts, and 343 integrated posts,’ he explained.

‘These integrated posts are, of course, a joint effort of all stakeholders, fully equipped with ministries, health departments, and from workshops, so that these posts can truly provide the best service to the public,’ he added.

Ten Functional Toll Roads Opened During Lebaran 2026 Mudik

In addition, ten toll roads will be functional during the mudik and return traffic period of Lebaran 2026. The operation of these functional tolls is expected to help ease congestion on several main routes.

‘This year there are ten functional toll roads,’ said Dirgakum Korlantas Polri.

He explained that one route that will significantly help reduce congestion is the Jakarta-Cikampek Selatan Toll Road (Japek Selatan). Based on the latest survey by the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT), the route is ready for use during the return flow.

‘So, Sadang, when the Bandung-bound traffic returns, last year all of it went into Cikampek; this year some of it will be diverted to Japek Selatan and then funnel to Setu, i.e., to JORR 2,’ he said.

‘In other words, a portion of vehicles can be channelled toward Japek Selatan to reduce the load on Japek or Cikampek, since Cikampek already bears traffic from Central Java and East Java,’ he added.

Besides Japek Selatan, another functional toll road is Section 3 of the Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi (Bocimi) toll heading toward Sukabumi. The toll, Faisal said, is expected to address one of the main congestion points, particularly at Pasar Cibadak.

‘This year the functional toll is already usable, from Parung Kuda it will connect directly to Karang Tengah, avoiding the critical point at Pasar Cibadak. It can be used both during the mudik and return periods,’ he explained.

Additionally, the Prambanan–Yogyakarta toll will also be functional during the mudik period. Faisal said they have coordinated with related stakeholders so that this route can help alleviate potential congestion in Yogyakarta and surrounding areas.

‘Prambanan–Jogja Toll. This is also already usable functionally, and we have coordinated accordingly; hopefully, during the mudik return, Prambanan–Jogja can also help ease congestion,’ he said.
