Ten Fires Break Out Across Tangerang Regency in a Single Day

A series of fires occurred in Tangerang Regency, Banten. The objects ablaze were rubbish and dry grass on open land. “Ten open land or dry grass and rubbish fires occurred throughout today in Tangerang Regency,” stated the Tangerang Regency BPBD Operations Control Centre on its Instagram account @bpbd.kabtangerang, Thursday (23/7/2026). The fires began in the morning. As of 16.00 WIB, 10 fire incidents had been recorded at various locations across Tangerang Regency. The Tangerang Regency BPBD reported that almost all firefighting personnel in the regency left their posts to extinguish the fires. “The fires were dominated by rubbish and open land or dry grass fires. Almost no firefighters stayed at their respective area posts. Personnel worked shoulder-to-shoulder to assist other post areas,” it said. The fire locations in Tangerang Regency today included: a rubbish fire at Sentra Kosambi, East Kosambi Village, Kosambi District; a rubbish fire at Simpang Bitung, Curug Wetan, Curug District; a rubbish fire on Gili Miring Street, Kampung Rahayu Village, Teluknaga; a land fire in Sindang Sono Village, Sindang Jaya District; a land fire on Kampung Bugel Street, Mekar Jaya Village, Sepatan District; a land fire in Kampung Munjul, Cileles Village, Tigaraksa; a land fire in Cikasungka Village, Solear District; a land fire at a warehouse in Telagasari Village, Cikupa District; and a land fire in Pagedangan Udik Village, Kronjo District.
