Ten die in accident

BANDAR LAMPUNG, Lampung: Ten people were killed in a traffic
accident involving seven cars and a motorcycle here Friday,
Antara reported.

Eight other people were injured in the accident on a
descending curve in South Lampung, about 240 kilometers northwest
of Jakarta.

All of the dead were passengers of a minibus, which was badly
damaged in the accident along with a truck and passenger bus.

The truck speeding into the sharp curve is believed to have
caused the accident.

A day earlier, four people were killed when a passenger bus
overturned in North Sumatra, about 1,400 kilometers northwest of
Jakarta. (swe)
