The Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov DKI Jakarta) has recorded temporary transaction values for the “Mudik to Jakarta” programme reaching Rp 21 trillion. Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that this achievement indicates high public enthusiasm for holidaying in Jakarta. “Up to before Eid, the transaction value has reached around Rp 21 trillion. We hope that by 31 March, the value can exceed Rp 25 trillion,” Pramono said at Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday (25/3/2026). The programme involves various parties, from airlines, PT Kereta Api Indonesia operators, hotels, tourist destinations, and shopping centres. Not only in Jakarta, the programme is also claimed to be followed by several other regions. In Semarang, transactions were recorded at around Rp 8 billion, while in Surabaya they reached around Rp 6.2 billion. In addition to economic transactions, an increase is also evident in the number of public visits to several tourist destinations during the Idul Fitri holiday period. The National Monument (Monas) area recorded 126,790 visitors from 22–24 March 2026. Meanwhile, Ragunan Zoo recorded 222,991 visitors, and Ancol was visited by around 155,000 people. Alongside this, Pramono stated that public services during the mudik and Eid holiday period continue to operate optimally. “Up to now, there have been no significant complaints regarding public services in the field,” Pramono said.
