DEPOK, KOMPAS.com - The Depok City Government will carry out a temporary closure on Jalan Raya Pasir Putih, Sawangan District, from 21 May to 14 August 2026. The closure is part of replacement work for the Kali Angsana Bridge in the area. Information was announced by the Depok City Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) via the official Instagram account @dinaspupr_depok.

“In order to carry out the Kali Angsana Bridge replacement works on Jalan Raya Pasir Putih, Sawangan District, there will be a closure and temporary traffic arrangements from 21 May - 14 August 2026,” the Depok PUPR wrote.

The location of the closure can be viewed via the following link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/TFp9exBz7osFLC558

During the works, traffic flow around the site is expected to be congested. Therefore road users are advised to use alternate routes and proceed with caution when passing the project area.

“Traffic around the location will potentially be heavy. Please use alternate routes and prioritise safety,” the announcement said.

In a visit on 10 May 2026, Supian asked that river dredging and tree felling that hinder water flow be carried out as a short-term measure.

“In the short term, in the near future I have just asked to dredge the river so the water flows smoothly,” said Supian.

In addition, the Depok City Government also targets raising Jembatan Jago so that water flow does not become obstructed when discharge increases.

“I also ask that this year the bridge be repaired and raised, so that when water enters the underpass under the bridge it doesn’t flood,” he said.

Supian aims for the bridge-raising project to be completed by the end of 2026 with an estimated height increase of around two metres.

He said that the various infrastructure works are part of the government’s efforts to address residents’ complaints about floods and the smooth flow of water in the Pasir Putih area and surrounding areas.
