Temanggung Hajj Organising Committee Receives Suitcases from Prospective Pilgrims
Temanggung (ANTARA) - The Hajj Organising Committee (PPIH) of Temanggung Regency, Central Java, has begun receiving 846 large suitcases from prospective Hajj pilgrims as part of preparations for their departure to the Holy Land during this year’s Hajj season.
The Head of the Temanggung Regency Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Office, Eko Widodo, in Temanggung on Monday, stated that the reception of the suitcases is being carried out at the local service office under the supervision of officials to ensure that all pilgrims’ belongings comply with the applicable regulations.
“There are two suitcases received by Hajj pilgrims: large and small. This process is one of the important stages before the pilgrims are dispatched to the Holy Land,” he said.
He explained that the reception of suitcases is being done in stages according to the predetermined schedule to avoid congestion and ensure that services run orderly and smoothly.
He emphasised that several items are prohibited from being placed in the large suitcases, such as easily explosive objects, excess liquids, and certain electronic devices.
“Power banks, laptops, liquids over 100 millilitres, as well as flammable materials like aerosols and gas lighters, are not allowed in the large suitcases,” he said.
He urged pilgrims to pay attention to the rules regarding carried items, including the weight limits for suitcases and prohibitions on certain goods, for the sake of safety and comfort during the journey.
With the start of this process, he hopes that all preparations for the departure of prospective Hajj pilgrims from Temanggung Regency can proceed well, so that the pilgrims can perform their worship with devotion and smoothness in the Holy Land.
