Republika.co.id, Jakarta – The National Border Management Agency (BNPP) targets the inauguration of the Temajuk Border Crossing Post (PLB) in Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan. The PLB is expected to boost cross-border activities between Indonesia and Malaysia.
The plan was stated by BNPP RI Secretary, Komjen Pol. Makhruzi Rahman, during a direct inspection of the Temajuk PLB area on Wednesday, 4 March 2026. The inspection was conducted to ensure the readiness of facilities and infrastructure before the Temajuk PLB is inaugurated and fully operational.
Makhruzi explained that the inauguration is planned to take place in mid-2026. The inauguration awaits the completion of road access to the Temajuk area, which is currently undergoing improvements.
“The plan for the inauguration of the Temajuk PLB is targeted for mid-2026, pending completion of road works in Temajuk,” Makhruzi said in a statement on Friday, 6 March 2026.
Makhruzi said that the Balai Jalan of the Ministry of Public Works is currently carrying out improvements to the Teluk Atong–Temajuk road segment, spanning 1.3 kilometres. The completion of the road access is considered a crucial factor to ensure optimal mobility of residents, officers, and logistics activities heading to the PLB area.
