Teluk Lamong Flyover Construction Complete, Pelindo Prepares Operational Phase

PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva (PSL) has begun preparing the pre-operation phase of the Teluk Lamong Flyover (FOTL) after the physical construction of the infrastructure reached 100 per cent completion. The connecting infrastructure to the Teluk Lamong Terminal is projected to improve the smooth flow of logistics while strengthening connectivity between industrial areas and the port in East Java. The Teluk Lamong Flyover connects the Teluk Lamong Terminal with the surrounding main road network. The project is currently entering the operational preparation stage before it can be fully utilised to support logistics and port activities. The development of the FOTL is part of efforts to strengthen connectivity between the port, industrial estates, distribution centres, and the main transport network. This integration is expected to increase the efficiency of goods distribution, reduce logistics bottlenecks, and smooth the supply chain in the port’s hinterland area. As a subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) engaged in port support services and area development, PSL, through PT Akses Pelabuhan Indonesia (API), is involved in the pre-operation preparations for the FOTL. These preparations include technical, operational, safety, and governance aspects to ensure operations run according to standards. Dewi Fitriyani, Senior Vice President of the Corporate Secretariat at PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva, stated that the development of access to the port area is a crucial factor in improving logistics efficiency. ‘The port does not only function as a transport node but also as a driver of regional growth. Therefore, PT PSL will continue to support infrastructure development and connectivity that strengthens the integration of the port area with industrial, trade, and port service activities, thereby creating sustainable added value for the national and regional economy,’ Dewi said. In the future, the Teluk Lamong Flyover is planned to be connected to the West Outer Ring Road (JLLB), the Gelora Bung Tomo access road, and the Romokalisari Toll Road. This integration is expected to further strengthen hinterland connectivity, accelerate goods distribution, and enhance logistics efficiency in East Java and its surrounding areas. PSL stated it will continue to collaborate with various stakeholders in developing port-based connectivity as part of building a more integrated and competitive logistics ecosystem.
