Tell the public the truth

From Merdeka

The Malaysian government's strict supervision of the sale of chickens in the market is exemplary. The control is deemed necessary to prevent the possibility of contamination by chemicals in chicken feed.

It is time for us to protect consumers from bad food.

What often happens is this. When thousands of fish were found floating in the Jakarta bay, the related agency for fisheries promptly announced that the community should not be worried about the death of the fish. Fish caught in the Jakarta bay were fine to eat.

This prevented unrest and losses to fish traders. But it would be better if the agency had also tried to find out why the fish died.

Once fish died in the Ciliwung due to heavy pollution. We need to know the truth.

We should not have to die from an illness caused by our fellow human beings.
