Telkomsel Strengthens Village Empowerment Through Employee Collaboration via Baktiku Negeriku 2026
Telkomsel has once again organised its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, Baktiku Negeriku, as a form of the company’s ongoing commitment to strengthening village development and driving inclusive digital transformation. This year’s programme was held from 21–23 May 2026, in Balegede Village, Naringgul District, Cianjur Regency, with a stronger emphasis on empowering employees to act as mentors and drivers of change within the community.
Aligned with the spirit of ‘Serving with All Our Heart’, Telkom_sel serves not only as a connectivity provider but also as a partner that understands the needs of rural communities, ranging from digital literacy and local economic strengthening to the use of technology to increase productivity. The programme addresses real community challenges, such as limited digital access, low business management capacity, and the sub-optimal utilisation of village potential.
In line with national development goals, Baktiku Negeriku also refers to the sixth point of ‘Asta Cita’, which focuses on building from the village and from the bottom up to achieve economic equality and poverty eradication. In this context, Telkomsel positions local communities as strategic partners through human resource capacity building, access to digital technology, and assistance for productive businesses. This approach is expected to foster a more independent, adaptive, and competitive village economic ecosystem, while expanding the inclusive and sustainable adoption of digital services.
Tuty Rahma Afriza, Vice President of Consumer Business Area Jabotabek Jabar at Telkomsel, stated that Baktiku Negeriku is a manifestation of Telkomsel’s commitment to delivering sustainable social impact through the use of digital technology. ‘We believe that community empowerment is more effective when done collaboratively, including involving employees as agents of change who can share knowledge and experience directly,’ she said in a statement on Thursday (4/6/2026).
Differing from previous years, Baktiku Negeriku 2026 strengthens the implementation of the Employee Volunteering Program (EVP), where Telkomsel employees act not only as volunteers but also as mentors, facilitators, and links to knowledge and technology access. Through this role, employees assist the community in various activities, such as digital literacy education, SME development, and the application of technology in the agricultural and tourism sectors. The programme also prioritises the empowerment of village youth as ‘local champions’ who are prepared to lead change initiatives in their regions.
Baktiku Negeriku 2026 includes several key activities, including the implementation of an Integrated Farming Demonstration Plot, the development of Creative Tourism based on a circular economy, the construction of a Telkomsel Creative Digital Centre as a hub for digital literacy, and a series of educational activities involving the community. Through these initiatives, Telkomsel provides direct benefits to villagers, ranging from improved digital skills and business development opportunities to the use of technology to support daily productivity, enabling the community to become more independent and prepared for future economic challenges.
At the same time, the programme strengthens the collaborative ecosystem between the community, village government, and Telkomsel as a driver and enabler of community empowerment. Following its implementation in Cianjur, Baktiku Negeriku will be held in Bayu Village, Songgon District, Banyuwangi Regency, from 11–13 June 2026.
