Telkomsel believes the best technology is not just about sophistication, but how it understands, assists, and connects more closely with people amid increasingly digital and interconnected lives. As it marks its 31st anniversary, Telkomsel reaffirms its ‘Serving with All Heart’ spirit to deliver more personal, relevant, and meaningful experiences for Indonesians while expressing appreciation for growing customer trust.

Telkomsel CEO Nugroho stated that, at 31 years old, the company is grateful for customer trust that has allowed it to thrive as Indonesia’s digital telecom leader. He added that Telkoms continually reflects and innovates to ensure services remain relevant and beneficial, especially in the era of digital transformation and AI, where empathetic customer-centred approaches are key to providing convenience, security, and daily support.

Over 31 years of serving Indonesia, Telkomsel has grown alongside the nation through milestones such as Halo SIM (1995), SIMPATI (1997), and 3G, 4G/LTE, and Hyper 5G. This journey reflects Telkomsel’s adaptability and role in building integrated digital ecosystems with partners.

The transformation is bolstered by broadband and 5G development, MyTelkomsel Super App, and integrated IndiHome B2C. Over the past decade, Telkomsel leveraged AI to enhance service quality via Autonomous Network and Virtual Assistant Veronika, which speeds up response times and delivers personalised experiences.

Through collaboration with Indonesia Artificial Intelligence (INA AI), Telkoms introduced Sacred Octagon on MyTelkomsel as an interactive, AI-driven learning solution for Indonesian families. This is supported by a 5G network covering over 107 cities and regencies with more than 6,380 5G BTS, including contiguous 5G in 36 locations.

Sustainability efforts include Green BTS, with over 360 using renewable energy, and e-waste management through reuse and recycling. CSR initiatives like NextDev, a digital startup incubation program, have supported thousands of talents and strengthen the digital innovation ecosystem.

Telkomsel also maintains connectivity during crises, such as rapidly restoring networks after hydro meteorological disasters in Sumatra late 2025. Independent socio-economic studies by PT LAPI ITB (2024-2025) show Telkomsel contributed Rp36.972 trillion through spectrum PNBP, BHP USo & Jastel, taxes, and dividends.

The Telkoms ecosystem is estimated to create over 685,000 direct and indirect jobs. These achievements stem from customer trust and a growing ecosystem.

Telkomsel continues expanding services to remote, border, and outermost areas (3T) through connectivity initiatives, part of its commitment to equal digital access. This demonstrates that connectivity development is driven by national mission as much as commercial considerations.

With a focus on CX Excellence and the principle that ‘Customer Experience is Everything’, Telkoms ensures services are timely and secure. This commitment is recognised globally through awards including GSMA GLOMO, World Communication Awards, Telecom Awards, Opensignal, Ookla Speedtest, and Gartner Marketing awards.

As part of the 31st anniversary celebration, Telkoms introduced a special ‘Surprise Deal’ for SIMPAT customers with two packages: 31GB for three days at Rp31,000 and 500GB for 30 days at Rp310,000. The offer valid from 26 to 28 May 2026 via MyTelkomsel, tsel.id/surprise, or 36370#.

‘Telkomsel aims to mature further and strengthen its role in Indonesia’s progress. Through innovation and ’Serving with All Heart’, we are committed to delivering the best customer experience to help Indonesians today and build a brighter future,’ Nugroho concluded.
