Telkomsel Leads on 11 Mobile Network User Experience Metrics
Jakarta — Telkomsel has won 11 awards based on Opensignal’s analysis of real-world experiences from millions of mobile users. The awards were announced during the MWC 2026 Barcelona series of events.
The awards confirm Telkomsel’s lead in network experience aspects, ranging from download and upload speeds, video and gaming experience quality, coverage and network availability, to consistency of quality across Indonesia, on both 2G/4G and 5G services.
The achievement across 11 Opensignal metrics demonstrates Telkomsel’s network superiority that customers can directly experience. Telkomsel leads in Download Speed Experience, Upload Speed Experience, 5G Download Speed Experience, and 5G Upload Speed Experience, enabling customers to download and upload files more quickly with more responsive 5G.
Additionally, the Consistent Quality achievement reflects reliable daily experiences for various needs, including streaming with the best Video Experience and 5G Video Experience, and gaming with the leading 5G Games Experience (tied win).
Telkomsel also leads in Coverage Experience and 5G Coverage Experience, and has achieved 5G Availability. This demonstrates strong signal coverage and increasingly widespread 5G connectivity across various regions of Indonesia.
Wong Soon Nam, Telkomsel’s Director of Planning and Transformation, expressed appreciation for customer trust. “This achievement continues to motivate us to improve every day, by providing a network that is genuinely faster, more stable, and can deliver comfort at every important moment in life. Going forward, we will continue to strengthen network infrastructure and adopt the latest technology so that our customers’ digital experiences become increasingly personal and seamless,” he stated in a written statement on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
Across 10 Indonesian regions analysed by Opensignal, Telkomsel is said to have consistent network quality even in remote areas, with 58 sole wins and 30 tied wins with other operators on several real-world mobile user experience metrics. This reflects the commitment to providing reliable networks to all parts of the country.
Meanwhile, nine regions recorded Telkomsel’s Download Speed Experience superiority, and seven regions confirmed Telkomsel’s Consistent Quality lead.
