Telkomsel launches 12th NextDev programme to develop AI-powered entrepreneurial innovation
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Telkomsel is once again holding NextDev, now in its 12th edition, an incubation programme for Indonesian technology entrepreneurs (technopreneurs) developing digital solutions to address social and environmental issues.
Under the theme “AI-Powered Innovations”, this year’s NextDev is prioritising technopreneurs who have already adopted or are exploring artificial intelligence (AI) to create tangible and sustainable impact.
“NextDev provides a platform for technopreneurs to demonstrate how technology, including AI, can address real-world problems,” Telkomsel Vice President of Corporate Communications and Social Responsibility Abdullah Fahmi said in Jakarta on Thursday.
Fahmi said NextDev aims to support local technopreneurs in using AI, backed by strong business fundamentals, market understanding and solutions that genuinely meet people’s needs.
“As an impact incubator, NextDev will help them strengthen their technology, businesses and impact, while also opening up opportunities to collaborate with the Telkomsel ecosystem,” he said.
A total of 20 selected technopreneurs will take part in validation and pitching before ten are chosen for the NextDev Academy.
They will receive guidance from mentors in technology and AI, finance, marketing and productivity. The support will help them validate user needs, strengthen their business models, improve operations and create added value through AI.
Participants will present their progress and evidence of impact at the NextDev Summit in 2027.
This year, the NextDev Roadshow in Jakarta, Makassar, Batam, Denpasar, Bandung and Yogyakarta will also feature a Pitching Battle.
Local technopreneurs who pass the initial screening can present their solutions to a panel of judges to receive feedback and exposure, and to gain the opportunity to be selected for the national programme.
Alumni continue to develop through acceleration and collaboration within the Telkomsel ecosystem, including in agriculture, education, investment, electric mobility, energy efficiency and digital games.
Technopreneurs from across Indonesia can register their digital solutions from 8 October to 9 November 2026 through the NextDev registration website.
