Telkomsel Ensures 5G Network Serves Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims in Saudi Arabia

Makassar (ANTARA) - Telkomsel, as Indonesia’s leading mobile telecommunications provider, is delivering digital connectivity support by ensuring the availability of a 5G network to serve Indonesian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.

Telkomsel is introducing RoaMAX Haji 2026, designed to meet the primary connectivity needs of pilgrims, including stable internet connections for family communication, access to essential digital services, and support during travel.

“The Spirit of Serving Wholeheartedly forms the foundation of Telkomsel’s support for Hajj pilgrims. Through RoaMAX Haji 2026, we are providing larger quotas, reliable roaming network access through collaborations with STC, Mobily, and Zain, as well as 5G access,” explained VP of Halo Product Marketing and Engagement Service at Telkomsel, Danang Andrianto, in his statement in Makassar on Thursday.

This 5G access, according to Danang, offers high speeds so that pilgrims can remain comfortable in communicating and focus on performing their worship with peace of mind. “Leave the signal matters to Telkomsel,” Danang added.

It includes a 1 GB transit quota that can be used in 13 countries (Qatar, UAE, Palestine, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Oman, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, India, Sri Lanka).

This support encompasses the RoaMAX Haji 2026 Package, 5G network access in Saudi Arabia, GraPARI Makkah, Telkomsel Hajj Posts at 17 embarkation points, and 24/7 free customer services via Call Center, Virtual Assistant Veronika, and the Hajj Corner feature in MyTelkomsel.

It also includes a 2 GB domestic quota, which can be used during the embarkation process in Indonesia. 5G network access up to 100 Mbps (coverage depending on local network availability).

In addition to the RoaMAX Haji Package, Telkomsel is preparing quotas of up to 42 GB, including 2 GB in Indonesia + 1 GB in 13 transit countries. Telkomsel serves Hajj pilgrims wholeheartedly by providing 5G access up to 100 Mbps and free 24/7 customer services in the Holy Land and Indonesia.
