Telkomsel Earns Global Recognition for Supporting Digital Resilience and Progress
Telkomsel has secured two global accolades at the TM Forum Digital Transformation World (DTW) Ignite 2026, held in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 23-25 June 2026. The awards include the TM Forum Excellence Awards 2026 in the Excellence in People, Profit, and Planet category, achieved through its AI-Powered Early Warning System Driving Sustainable Business Continuity innovation, and a Catalyst Innovator Recognition with ‘Visionary’ status for its active contribution and high engagement as a Champion in the TM Forum Catalyst programme.
Telkomsel IT Director Joyce Shia stated that this recognition reinforces the company’s steps in utilising AI to deliver more relevant and user-friendly services. ‘For us, technology delivers real impact when supported by an integrated and trusted data and system foundation. Through responsible AI utilisation, we enhance customer experience while supporting more inclusive and sustainable digital progress,’ she said in an official statement on Monday (13/7/2026).
The Excellence in People, Profit, and Planet award was achieved through the development of an AI-Powered Early Warning System that detects potential disaster impacts earlier, accelerates response, and maintains service continuity for the community. This solution integrates internal and external data for monitoring, analysis, and dissemination of critical information through various channels. The system has detected thousands of incidents, reached hundreds of cities, and sent millions of alerts to help communities receive vital information more quickly when needed.
Additionally, Telkomsel was a finalist in four other TM Forum Excellence Awards categories, including AI & Data for Business Impact, Regional Impact, and Customer & Developer Experience. In the TM Forum Catalyst programme, Telkomsel actively participated alongside technology partners and global communications service providers to advance AI, Open Digital Architecture (ODA), autonomous networks, and customer experience. These collaborative initiatives were also shortlisted as finalists for nine Open Innovation and Moonshot Catalyst Awards.
Furthermore, Telkomsel recorded an achievement as the first operator in Indonesia and the third in Southeast Asia to obtain the highest level of Autonomous Network Level 4 (ANL-4 Alpha Validation) from TM Forum. By applying AI to service quality management using the NPS Improvement with AI for Autonomous by TAZ solution, the network can be monitored more automatically, potential disruptions identified earlier, and service quality maintained more responsively, delivering a smoother, more stable, and more comfortable digital experience. ‘Ultimately, what customers experience is a connection that remains smooth and reliable when needed. That is why we leverage AI and autonomous networks to detect potential disruptions earlier and accelerate their resolution,’ said Telkomsel Network Director Indra Mardiatna. He added that a smarter and more resilient network serves as a crucial foundation for strengthening Indonesia’s digital resilience, ensuring customers remain comfortably and productively connected.
