Telkomsel Confirms Appointment of Muhammad Yusuf Ateh as Commissioner
JAKARTA — Telkomsel has appointed Muhammad Yusuf Ateh as a commissioner, effective 1 June 2026. The move underscores the company’s commitment to strengthening governance and strategic leadership amid industry dynamics while safeguarding profitability and sustainable growth.
The decision was made by PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom Indonesia) and Singapore Telecom Mobile Pte Ltd (Singtel), Telkomsel’s shareholders, on Friday, 29 May 2026.
No changes were made to other board and director appointments. The current Telkomsel commissioner lineup is as follows:

Management stated: ‘This step aligns with the telecom sector’s post-consolidation recovery, where competition is shifting towards value-based approaches, innovation, and customer experience.’
Telkomsel will continue accelerating growth and leadership in the industry by strengthening core connectivity through sustained 5G network investments. The company also commits to expanding converged services and digital solutions for consumer and enterprise segments, while optimising technology and AI capabilities to deliver more personalised and efficient customer experiences.

Career Background of Muhammad Yusuf Ateh
Prior to his Telkomsel appointment, Ateh served as Head of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) since 2020. He previously held commissioner roles at PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (2021-2026), PLN (2020-2021), and was a member of the Supervisory Board of Perum Peruri (2013-2019).
Earlier, he worked as an inspector at the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (2009-2011) and as an auditor at BPKP (1992-2002).
