Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Telkomsel has officially concluded the Internet BAIK Festival (IBFEST) Series 10 in Surakarta as part of its ongoing commitment to building a competent, safe, and responsible digital generation in Indonesia. Under the theme ‘Level Up the Future with AI’, the programme reached over 52,000 participants from 35 provinces and 296 cities and regencies, highlighting its relevance in addressing the urgent need for AI literacy amid rapid digital transformation. Recognising that AI development presents both opportunities and challenges, IBFEST Series 10 was designed to meet societal needs, particularly among students, enabling them not just to use technology but to create impactful, real-world solutions. Amid the flood of information and increasingly complex digital landscape, many students require practical, safe, and contextual understanding of technology use. IBFEST Series 10 addressed this through a holistic approach, engaging students, teachers, and parents as a supportive educational ecosystem. The programme featured AI Camp Training, workshops, inspirational seminars, and project mentoring to help participants understand AI in an applied, relevant, and responsible manner in daily life. As a tangible outcome of the learning process, IBFEST Series 10 produced 120 AI-based digital works across three main tracks: Creativa, Syntech, and Cyberlite. These projects showcase young talent’s ability to turn technology into concrete solutions, from educational content and simple apps to digital awareness campaigns addressing everyday issues. Additionally, the programme attracted over 11,000 registrants from approximately 300 schools, reflecting high enthusiasm for AI literacy as a growing necessity for the future. Abdullah Fahmi, Telkomsel’s Vice President of Corporate Communications and Social Responsibility, stated that the Internet BAIK Festival Series 10 demonstrates that when access, guidance, and collaboration are properly provided, Indonesian youth can achieve more. ‘They not only understand technology but also create practical solutions that benefit society,’ Abdullah said in a statement on Monday, 25 May 2026. The IBFEST Series 10 events were held in four main cities: Cimahi (kick-off), Jambi, Pontianak, and Surakarta (closing ceremony), as part of efforts to ensure equitable access to learning.
