Telkomsel and Huawei's Priority Network Wins GLOMO Awards 2026
Telkomsel and Huawei have successfully won the Global Mobile (GLOMO) Awards 2026 in the Best Mobile Operator Service for Connected Consumers category through their Priority Network innovation (“Guaranteed Experience in High-Density Connectivity with UE Logo”). This achievement was announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 Barcelona, the world’s largest mobile technology event.
“We dedicate this GLOMO award to all our loyal customers in Indonesia,” said Wong Soon Nam, Director of Planning & Transformation at Telkomsel. According to him, Telkomsel’s commitment strengthens daily to deliver tangible benefits of AI-based intelligent network services that align with the daily needs of the community.
“During the busiest, most crowded, hectic moments, we hope customers can still enjoy a stable, comfortable, and practical internet experience with Telkomsel,” he said.
The Priority Network is designed to ensure a seamless digital experience in extremely high-density locations such as public transport, shopping centres, business districts, stadiums, and concert halls. Favourite applications like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Netflix remain stable because customers receive an automatic priority lane to maintain consistent connectivity.
This service has been integrated into Telkomsel’s premium packages (such as Halo+ Supreme and others) without complicated activation processes. When priority mode is active, the phone displays a UE Logo, a visual indicator that the customer is on a fast network lane.
Since its launch in November 2025 on Telkomsel’s leading and most extensive network, this joint solution with Huawei has been adopted by more than 2.5 million users. The benefits are quite tangible, including: smooth internet – with Guaranteed Bit Rate (GBR), customers enjoy a guaranteed minimum speed, like a dedicated expressway that keeps vehicles moving without delays; automatic activation – AI-powered network with Intelligent Personalised Experience (IPE) instantly understands what customers need and automatically gives priority in real time; hassle-free – no additional applications or special settings required. Customers simply use their phones normally, and the UE Logo indicates the active priority network mode.
Jeffrey Wu, President of Huawei’s Core Packet Network Domain, stated that collaboration with Telkomsel demonstrates how innovation can deliver a more personalised and reliable network experience for millions of users. “This GLOMO award is a major boost for us to continue delivering intelligent network technology that opens new opportunities for customers and the industry.”
GLOMO is the most prestigious award in the global mobile industry, held by GSMA, an organisation representing more than 750 mobile operators and technology companies worldwide. Each year, winners are selected by hundreds of independent judges and announced on the MWC Barcelona stage. In 2026, the Digital Everything category again recognised the world’s best innovations, including Telkomsel and Huawei’s victory for Best Mobile Operator Service for Connected Consumers.
