Telkomsat and Nara Space Collaborate on Earth Observation Technology Development in Indonesia
Jakarta (ANTARA) - In an effort to expand global collaboration in space technology and promote the development of Earth Observation technology, Telkomsat signed a Partnership Agreement with Nara Space, a South Korean space technology company, in Jakarta on 12 May 2026.
The signing of the Partnership Agreement was conducted by Telkomsat’s Director of Development, Anggoro Kurnianto Widiawan, and Nara Space’s VP of Business Development, Minsik Kim. This collaboration reflects the commitment of both companies to advancing adaptive, innovative satellite technology capable of meeting data and satellite imagery analysis needs across various sectors.
Nara Space is a South Korean space technology company focused on developing Earth Observation satellites and data analytics. The company also offers end-to-end capabilities, including support for satellite data-based analytics services.
“Through this collaboration, Telkomsat and Nara Space will work together in various areas, including research and development of satellite-based Earth observation technology, as well as exploring joint market opportunities and use cases,” stated Anggoro.
This partnership is expected to serve as the initial foundation for building a strong and sustainable collaboration framework in Earth Observation technology development to meet the needs of various satellite data and imagery analysis services for multiple sectors in Indonesia, including government, industry, and disaster management.
Through this collaboration, Telkomsat is also promoting the development of infrastructure ecosystems and cross-sector data integration to support various strategic functions, from territorial monitoring and disaster mitigation to natural resource management and accelerating national digital transformation.
