Telkom's CEO Signals Dividend This Year Could Increase
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (TLKM) provided hints on the size of the dividend for this year. Telkom Indonesia’s President Director, Dian Siswarini, said both the dividend payout ratio and the nominal amount of cash dividend for the 2025 financial year would be at least equal to or even higher than the previous year. However, she said everything depends on the approval of the controlling shareholder. The dividend policy will be put to a vote by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) to be held on 8 June.
‘The proposal (ratio and nominal) is not smaller. It is not smaller; this still has to obtain shareholders’ approval through the AGM on June 8,’ Dian said during a media briefing at Telkom’s office on Wednesday (20/5/2026).
She then explained that they are maintaining the dividend amount while conducting a share buyback. Both actions are based on cash-flow strength and the company’s business fundamentals, not only on profit; cash accounting doesn’t reflect it,’ Dian said.
According to her, Telkom has solid cash flow enabling it to provide attractive returns to shareholders without compromising the group’s investment needs. ‘We have solid cash flow enabling us to provide attractive returns to shareholders without compromising the investments of the group,’ she added.
For reference, Telkom posted a net income of Rp17.8 trillion for the 2025 financial year, with a net margin of 12.1% and normalized net income of Rp22.7 trillion. Last year, the state-owned telecommunications issuer paid cash dividends from net income for 2024 amounting to 89% of net income, or Rp21 trillion, equivalent to Rp212.46 per share.
