TelkomGroup Distributes 910 Qurban Animals to Communities
PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or Telkom, delivers benefits to communities through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programme. TelkomGroup, along with its subsidiaries including Telkomsel, distributed 910 Qurban animals comprising 232 cattle and 678 goats and sheep to communities across various regions of Indonesia. In total, the Qurban animals, weighing 114,739 kilograms, will be distributed to 62,469 beneficiaries, including the poor, residents near company operational areas, and vulnerable or disaster-affected communities. The distribution was carried out collaboratively by TelkomGroup through Telkom, Telkomsel, its subsidiaries, and employee contributions. Of the total, Telkom distributed 185 Qurban animals, Telkomsel 459, subsidiaries 148, and employees 118. Through this Qurban distribution, Telkom President Director Dian Siswarini stated that TelkomGroup aims to ensure all communities can experience the joy of Eid al-Adha. ‘Eid al-Adha is the perfect opportunity for us to enhance compassion and foster a spirit of sincerity through the synergy of all TelkomGroup elements,’ she said on Friday, 22 May 2025, at the Vertical Garden Telkom Hub, particularly for vulnerable and disaster-affected communities. During the event, Dian also highlighted that Eid al-Adha serves as a reminder of the importance of compassion and mutual cooperation to create broader benefits for society. Telkom’s Human Capital Management Director, Willy Saelan, said the spirit of sharing during Eid al-Adha reflects the company’s cultural values, where social care is integral to TelkomGroup’s identity. ‘Through collaboration among all employees, subsidiaries, and stakeholders, we hope this assistance will provide widespread benefits while strengthening the sense of unity between the company and the community,’ he said. The TelkomGroup Qurban programme has been warmly received by beneficiaries, including Sawunggaling, a representative of the Bantar Gebang scavenger community, who expressed gratitude for the meat distribution. ‘Alhamdulillah, we are grateful to TelkomGroup for the Qurban meat assistance. This support is very meaningful for us, and we hope its benefits reach more communities,’ he said. The Qurban programme under the theme ‘Qurban Spirit as a Path to Social Piety Transformation’ involved MTTG Central, Regional, and Witel chapters across regions. The slaughter and distribution processes adhered to government guidelines and were adapted to local conditions. This Qurban initiative is part of TelkomGroup’s TJSL programme, which focuses on creating sustainable social impact by strengthening compassion, mutual cooperation, and community benefits.
