JAKARTA — TelkomGroup has launched the development of four Sovereign Digital Technology capabilities to strengthen Indonesia’s national digital technology ecosystem. The initiative includes data-centre infrastructure for artificial intelligence, access to AI models, an Internet of Things platform and a marketplace to broaden market access for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
The launch took place during the Danantara Technology Innovation Investment Forum 2026 in Jakarta on Monday (26 October 2026). Attendees included Danantara Chief Technology Officer Sigit Puji Santosa, Managing Director of Strategic Technology Initiatives Irwan Rey, Telkom IT and Digital Director Kharim I. G. Siregar, and Telkom Strategic Business Development & Portfolio Director Seno Soemadji.
The four capabilities under development are AI Ready Data Center, AI ModelHub, National IoT Platform and PaDiSera. They are intended to strengthen digital infrastructure, support the adoption of artificial intelligence across various sectors and expand market opportunities for MSMEs.
“Congratulations on the launch of TelkomGroup’s Sovereign Digital Technology. We hope this initiative can continue to develop through sustained collaboration between Danantara, TelkomGroup, state-owned enterprises and stakeholders, giving rise to relevant innovations that deliver tangible benefits for the public and Indonesia’s economy,” Sigit Puji Santosa said.
The launch formed part of the Danantara Technology Innovation Investment Forum 2026, held from 26 to 28 October under the theme ‘Investing in Tomorrow: Advancing Technology, Innovation, and Sustainable Growth’. The forum brings together government, state-owned enterprises, investors, industry players and innovators to promote technology development and strategic investment.
AI Ready Data Center, developed by operating company NeutraDC, will provide the computing foundation for developing and operating various AI models in Indonesia and South-east Asia. The capability has an expansion ambition of up to one gigawatt of capacity.
AI ModelHub, meanwhile, provides integrated access to a range of artificial intelligence models to support the secure use of the technology while maintaining control over strategic national data. The service is designed to make system integration easier across institutions.
Telkom President Director Nanang Hendarno said strengthening these capabilities was part of efforts to build an independent and competitive national digital ecosystem. The company is committed to providing comprehensive technology solutions for the public.
“Digital independence needs to be built through comprehensive command of the technological foundations, from infrastructure and computing to AI development and the implementation of digital solutions that address the needs of strategic sectors. Technological mastery must also be accompanied by the ability to build an integrated ecosystem, so technology not only drives transformation but also creates added value and enhances national competitiveness,” Nanang said.
