PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) has won the Lestari Award 2026 in the Talent Management category for its People Development Plan initiative, themed ‘Building Future-Ready Digital Leaders Across TelkomGroup’. The award was presented directly by Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, in recognition of Telkom’s commitment to building an integrated talent development ecosystem to prepare future digital leaders whilst supporting sustainable business transformation.

The Lestari Award is an event that honours innovative and impactful Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices, whilst encouraging collaboration between businesses, government, academia, and the community to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This year’s awards covered 14 categories, assessed by 12 independent judges from government, academia, practitioners, non-governmental organisations, and sustainability professionals using a multi-layered scoring system.

Telkom’s Director of Human Capital Management, Willy Saelan, stated that building a future-ready organisation begins with ensuring every individual within TelkomGroup has the space to continuously learn, grow, and play a role in creating an impact for the business. ‘That is the direction we are realising through the People Development Plan,’ he said in an official statement on Tuesday (28/7/2026).

The People Development Plan (PDP) is TelkomGroup’s talent development strategy designed to strengthen human resource capabilities in facing the dynamics of the digital industry. Through a learning ecosystem structured around business needs, the programme encompasses competency development, coaching and mentoring, experiential learning, research and innovation, utilisation of digital learning platforms, and assessments to ensure talent readiness for future challenges.

The PDP was designed by the Talent Management Policy unit and operationalised through collaboration with the Telkom Corporate University Center (TCUC) and Assessment Corporate University (ACI), focusing on various strategic business domains of TelkomGroup, ranging from Business to Consumer (B2C) and Business to Business (B2B) services, to digital infrastructure and leadership capability strengthening. This approach ensures every talent possesses competencies relevant to current business needs whilst being ready to support the company’s future transformation.

In line with this, Telkom’s SVP Group Sustainability and Corporate Communication, Ahmad Reza, said the award is an acknowledgement of TelkomGroup’s consistency in making talent development a cornerstone of the company’s sustainability. ‘Sustainability is not only realised through technological innovation or environmental management, but also through investment in people. The talent development ecosystem serves as the foundation for Telkom in preparing adaptive employees with future-ready competencies, capable of creating sustainable value for the company. This award further motivates us to continue strengthening a learning culture and leadership relevant to the development of the digital industry,’ Reza concluded.

This achievement also reinforces the implementation of the ‘Empower Our People’ pillar within the GoZero% Sustainable Action by Telkom Indonesia initiative, realised through developing employee capabilities to face industry dynamics and future business needs. For Telkom, talent development is a strategic investment to strengthen competitiveness whilst supporting the company’s sustainable transformation. With this achievement, Telkom is also eligible to advance to the regional-level competition alongside winners from other categories.
