Telkom Wins Lestari Award 2026 for Commitment to Sustainable Talent Development
PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) has won the Lestari Award 2026 in the Talent Management category for its People Development Plan initiative, themed ‘Building Future-Ready Digital Leaders Across TelkomGroup’. The award was presented directly by Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono in recognition of Telkom’s commitment to building an integrated talent development ecosystem to prepare future digital leaders while supporting sustainable business transformation. The Lestari Award is an event that honours the implementation of innovative and impactful Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices, while encouraging collaboration between businesses, government, academia, and the community to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This year’s awards covered 14 categories assessed by 12 independent judges from government, academia, practitioners, non-governmental organisations, and sustainability professionals using a multi-layered assessment system. The People Development Plan is TelkomGroup’s talent development strategy designed to strengthen human resource capabilities in facing the dynamics of the digital industry. Through a learning ecosystem structured around business needs, the programme includes competency development, coaching and mentoring, experiential learning, research and innovation, utilisation of digital learning platforms, and assessments to ensure talent readiness for future challenges. In a separate statement, Telkom’s Director of Human Capital Management, Willy Saelan, said, ‘Building an organisation that is ready for the future starts with ensuring every individual within TelkomGroup has the space to continuously learn, grow, and take on roles in creating an impact for the business. That is the direction we are realising through the People Development Plan.’ The development of the People Development Plan (PDP) was designed by the Talent Management Policy unit and operationalised through collaboration with the Telkom Corporate University Center (TCUC) and Assessment Corporate University (ACI), focusing on various strategic business domains of TelkomGroup, ranging from Business to Consumer (B2C) and Business to Business (B2B) services, digital infrastructure, to strengthening leadership capabilities. This approach ensures that every talent possesses competencies relevant to current business needs while being ready to support the company’s future transformation.
