Telkom University Student Nadira Found Safe After Week-Long Disappearance
Police have successfully located Nadira Az Zahra (21), a student at Telkom University, who had been missing for a week since Tuesday (30/06), in good health.
AKBP Anton, Head of Criminal Investigation at Bandung City Police, stated that Nadira was found in Bandung in the early hours of Monday (06/07). “Alhamdulillah, in the early hours of Monday, 6 July 2026, Nadira Az-Zahra has been found and has returned home in good health and is under the supervision of her family,” Anton said at the Bandung City Police Headquarters.
Anton noted that Nadira was found by a local resident who had received information regarding the student’s disappearance. He did not specify the exact location where she was found.
“Regarding the motive, we have not yet determined the exact reason because Nadira is not yet in a condition to provide a statement. However, we will likely request further information later regarding why she left her residence,” he added.
Anton stated that, so far, the police have found no indications of criminal involvement in this case. “There are no indications of that yet, but we are still verifying because we have not yet received a statement from Nadira. Once she is able to be questioned, we will conduct further interviews or interrogations to see if there are any indications of a criminal act,” he said.
Meanwhile, Budhi Purwana, a representative of the family present at the Bandung City Police Headquarters, revealed that Nadira was alone when she was found. Budhi explained that when Nadira was discovered in the early hours, she was in a state of exhaustion.
“According to the person who found her, she was alone, exhausted, and disoriented. This kind person cared for her, secured her, and immediately contacted the police and us,” he said.
Regarding the belongings Nadira took when she left home, Budhi clarified that nothing was missing. “Nothing at all, Sir. Everything is intact. Laptop, tablet, mobile phone, bag, and so on—everything is intact. No items are missing,” he stated.
Nadira was previously reported missing last week. The last time she was seen with her family, she had said goodbye before leaving for university from her home in the Ciwastra area, Bandung, on Tuesday (30/06).
Nadira is a student in the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FIT), majoring in Smart City Information Systems (SIKC), class of 2025. She resides in the Jingga Residence area, Mekarjaya, Rancasari, Bandung.
Shortly before she went missing without news, she had left for university wearing a long-sleeved white shirt, black jeans, a cream-coloured hijab, and carrying a cream-coloured backpack. The bag contained a laptop and a tablet. Nadira also carried a mobile phone, which was known to be active when she left home.
However, at approximately 12:30 WIB on the same day, Nadira’s WhatsApp account was deactivated. Since then, her family reported being unable to contact her or determine her whereabouts.
