Telkom to issue bonds worth Rp 1t

JAKARTA: PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, the state-owned local call operator, will issue five-year bonds worth Rp 1 trillion (US$106 million) in either May or June, a lead underwriter for the issue said Monday.

Telkom's issue should carry an annual coupon of between 17 percent and 18 percent, Harry Danardojo, Danareksa Securities managing director, told reporters.

Danareksa is part of a consortium also including Citicorp Sekuritas Indonesia and AAA Sekuritas which is underwriting the rupiah bonds.

Telkom is also planning to issue $100 million to $150 million in foreign denominated debt, and has appointed JP Morgan to underwrite the issue. There are no details on this issue yet. -- Dow Jones
