Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) is supporting capacity building and green funding through a sustainable community-based approach under its Bumi Berseru Fest (BBF) 2026 programme initiative.

"Through Bumi Berseru Fest, Telkom is not only providing funding support but also ensuring mentorship and capacity strengthening so that every programme can create sustainable environmental and social impact," said Telkom Senior General Manager of Social Responsibility Hery Susanto in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday.

BBF, Hery continued, serves as a platform for collaboration and environmental action competition designed to strengthen community-based green innovation across various regions.

"BBF is a strategic Telkom initiative aimed at accelerating the environmental movement through collaborative approaches, technology utilisation, and community capacity building," Hery said.

The programme, he added, invites young people, communities, and environmental activists to deliver concrete solutions in addressing the challenges of climate change, waste management, natural resource conservation, and circular economy development.

"We believe that collaboration with communities is key to driving innovative solutions to tackle climate change challenges whilst strengthening community self-reliance," Hery said.

In its 2025 edition, BBF successfully attracted participants from across Indonesia and selected 43 top programmes assessed as having measurable impact and long-term sustainability.

The selected participants received funding support and programme implementation mentorship from Telkom to enable them to implement their programme ideas and deliver optimal benefits for communities.

One of the programmes selected in BBF 2025 came from the Indonesian Adiwiyata Practitioners Association (HPAI) Regional Executive Board (DPW) of Greater Malang.

This programme integrates water source conservation, land rehabilitation, and circular economy strengthening within a village development framework, thereby not only preserving ecosystems but also enhancing the capacity and economic self-reliance of local communities.

Telkom's support through the BBF programme focuses not only on funding aspects but also on measurable programme governance, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and ensuring sustainable impact.

"This approach ensures that every selected programme is able to create balanced added value across economic, social, and environmental dimensions," Hery said.

Through the Bumi Berseru Fest programme, Telkom is affirming its role as a catalyst for sustainable transformation by providing a collaborative space between corporations, communities, and the public.

"This programme is expected to continue serving as a platform for strengthening community-based environmental movements and driving the creation of an inclusive and sustainable green ecosystem in Indonesia," he said.
