Telkom strives to improve service

TANGERANG (JP): The Tangerang office of state telecommunications operator PT Telkom is striving to improve its service by furthering its cooperation with various partners, an official said on Wednesday.

Abdul Haris, head of Telkom's office here, said that the company was cooperating closely with several banks to enable customers to pay their telephone bills through the banks.

It is also cooperating with private radio station Star FM Tangerang to accommodate customer complaints, Haris said.

Haris said he would host a question and answer session on Star FM every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Callers are invited to discuss any problems they are having with their telephone service by tuning in to 106.5 on the radio and calling 560-9501, he said.

"Each session is expected to draw at least 12 callers," he said.

Haris also said that new telecommunication services would be explained during the sessions. (41/ylt)
