Telkom Strengthens Collaboration, Developing Blueprint for Digital Sovereignty
PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or Telkom, organised the National Digital Soverely Forum titled “Digital Ecosystem Collaboration for Sovereign National Innovation” at the Telkom Landmark Tower, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 3 June 2026. The forum brought together regulators, strategic State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), enterprise customers, and global technology partners to strengthen collaboration in building a secure, resilient, and sovereign foundation for cloud, artificial intelligence (AI), and cybersecurity.
Sonny Hendra Sudaryana, Director of Digital Ecosystem Development at the Ministry of Communication and Digital of the Republic of Indonesia, stated that synergy between regulators, industry, and technology providers is vital to ensuring that national digital transformation is safe, inclusive, and sustainable. He emphasised that strengthening sovereign cloud, AI, and cybersecurity is a crucial step in protecting national data security and increasing trust in Indonesia’s digital ecosystem.
According to Seno Soemadji, Director of Strategic Business Development and Portfolio at Telkom, digital sovereignty has become a national strategic necessity requiring cross-sector and cross-ecosystem synergy. “Digital sovereignty is no longer just a technological issue, but the foundation of our nation’s future competitiveness, resilience, and sustainability. Indonesia must be able to establish control over its own data, AI, cloud, and cybersecurity so that we are not merely a digital market, but the architects of our own digital future,” said Seno.
Seno added that through the TLKM 30 transformation, Telkom continues to strengthen its role not only as a connectivity provider but also as a service enabler to build a more resilient, secure, and independent national digital foundation.
The National Digital Sovereignty Forum follows the “Rise of Indonesian Technological Sovereignty” declaration held on 20 May 2026. While the previous declaration affirmed a shared vision, this forum serves as a concrete step to translate that vision into a measurable blueprint and implementation roadmap through three main pillars: Sovereign Cloud, Sovereign AI, and Sovereign Cybersecurity.
The presence of the Ministry of Communication and Digital underscores the importance of synergy between regulators and industry players in building a national digital foundation that supports digital economic growth while protecting Indonesia’s strategic interests. The forum also provides a collaborative space to align the development of cloud, AI, and cybersecurity with national requirements.
As part of the forum, Telkom also strengthened its AdyaCakra initiative, a sovereign digital stack that integrates national capabilities with best-in-class global technologies to support the needs of the government, SOEs, and strategic industrial sectors. AdyaCakra encompasses Sovereign Cloud capabilities through NeuCentrIX, NeutraDC Hyperscale, and edge infrastructure; Sovereign AI through AI Hub and Agentic AI BigBox; and Sovereign Cybersecurity through Telkom CSOC, sovereign threat intelligence, and managed detection & response.
During the event, eight global technology partners participated in strategic discussions and the signing of an Intentional Collaboration agreement, marking a mutual commitment to supporting a secure, resilient, and sovereign digital ecosystem. This collaboration is expected to accelerate national capability development, knowledge transfer, and technology adoption that provides added value to Indonesia.
Through the National Digital Sovereignty Forum, Telkom is driving the creation of a more concrete blueprint and collaboration roadmap between the government, regulators, SOEs, industry players, and global technology partners. This initiative is part of Telkom’s efforts to strengthen the national cloud, AI, and cybersecurity foundations to support the realisation of Indonesia’s Digital Vision 2030 and the TLKM 30 transformation agenda.
