PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk said that the Investment Management Body Daya Anagata Nusantara, or Danantara Indonesia, has asked for a substantial reduction in the number of subsidiaries. Telkom’s Director of Strategic Business Development and Portfolio, Seno Soemadji, said the company has been asked to close 10 subsidiaries in June 2026.

“At the end of June we are asked to close 10 subsidiaries. And, God willing, we are committed to closing 10 subsidiaries, so from 67 subsidiaries, 10 of them will be cut at the end of June, next month,” Seno told reporters in Jakarta on Wednesday (20 May 2026).

Telkom currently has about 67 subsidiaries.

“In business terms, we have considered and analysed that streamlining, particularly where there is overlap and businesses operating in the same sector, is one of the things we will watch,” he said.

Besides the similarity of business lines, Telkom also considers the companies’ performance over the last two years. Subsidiaries with sub‑optimal performance are included in the evaluation.

Although Seno was not willing to reveal the list of subsidiaries to be cut. “In my view the announcements will come later. Because we have several approaches and sensitivities. But further information can be provided later,” he said.

According to Seno, the process still takes time because Telkom must ensure all steps and governance are conducted properly. “We must ensure the governance process is correct, the hypothesis and the stages are all correct,” he said.

He regarded the pruning as part of the company’s transformation to strengthen focus on core business and improve asset management. Telkom is also reorganising its business portfolio to create greater added value and improve corporate governance. In addition, Telkom is strengthening its role as a strategic holding, while the operational business is run by the respective operating companies in each line of business.
