JAKARTA, CNBC Indonesia – PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) has released its Q1 2026 financial results, showing progressive growth in certain business segments. Despite various macroeconomic challenges, this achievement reflects Telkom’s consistency in operational discipline while accelerating the execution of its TLKM 30 transformation strategy.

Consolidated revenue for the first three months of 2026 reached Rp37.2 trillion, a 1.5% year-on-year (YoY) increase. EBITDA amounted to Rp18.0 trillion with a margin of 48.3%.

Net profit was Rp4.3 trillion with a net profit margin of 11.7%. Normalised net profit stood at Rp5.1 trillion, with a margin of 13.8%. The contraction in net profit was primarily due to the lingering effects of accelerated depreciation and business normalisation during the transformation phase.

However, these pressures were transitional and non-cash, with operational fundamentals remaining robust. Operating cash flow rose 3.1% YoY to Rp17.3 trillion, driven by TOTEX efficiency programmes and improved collections discipline.

Telkom President Director Dian Siswarini stated that the company would intensify the execution of its TLKM 30 strategy this year to optimise value creation and ensure long-term sustainability.

“The Q1 2026 performance serves as a strong start and motivation for the TelkomGroup to continue incremental improvements, delivering the best outcomes for the company, customers, society, and the nation,” she said in a statement on Friday (29 May 2026).

Sustaining Growth Amidst Improving B2C Market

In the B2C segment (Mobile and Fixed Broadband), Telkom, through Telkomsel, recorded consolidated revenue of Rp27.6 trillion, a 1.3% YoY increase driven by digital business revenue. Data payload grew 2.3% YoY due to disciplined and sustainable network quality improvements and expansion investments.

Strategies including price discipline, product simplification, and enhanced customer experience drove ARPU growth to Rp45,100, a 6.4% YoY increase. This reflects healthier market initiatives and a more stable, rational industry environment.

Telkomsel will continue focusing on maintaining ARPU through customer productivity enhancements and digital lifestyle service innovations aligned with evolving societal needs.

Dian added that the telecommunications industry remains promising as connectivity and internet have become primary needs. Over recent years, Telkom has observed sustained growth in internet service demand with no signs of decline.

“We are optimistic about strengthening the mobile and fixed broadband ecosystem sustainably while prioritising good customer experience,” she said.

Transformation Momentum Drives Growth in B2B Infrastructure Segment

Telkom’s B2B Infrastructure segment posted positive performance with Rp2.4 trillion in revenue, a 6.8% increase year-on-year, supported by continued expansion of its Fiber-to-the-Tower (FTTT) business.

In the telecommunications towers and FTTT business led by Mitratel, revenue reached Rp2.3 trillion, up 1.4% YoY in Q1 2026, with Tower Leasing and Tower-Related Business remaining key contributors to stable revenue. Thanks to efficient cost management and strong business fundamentals, Mitratel maintained an EBITDA margin of 82.7%.

To maintain its position as Southeast Asia’s leading telecommunications tower provider, Mitratel strengthened its fiber optic asset portfolio strategy. During Q1 2026, it expanded its fiber network by 1,080 km, bringing total ownership to 58,279 km.

This sustained expansion strategy successfully drove healthy FTTT business growth and reinforced Mitratel’s capabilities as an integrated next-generation tower company.

In the data centre business, revenue came from NeutraDC Group’s data centre and colocation facilities, as well as NeuCentrIX’s edge data centres, which remain under Telkom’s operational control.

Data centres are a digital platform with rising demand as digital industry activities expand. Given this potential, consolidation initiatives will strategically position NeutraDC as the dedicated manager of all data centre assets. This approach will unlock opportunities for service expansion, asset monetisation, and business growth through strategic partnerships.

The Wholesale & International Service unit recorded Rp2.8 trillion in revenue, with a 18.9% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) growth in interconnection services due to increased international wholesale voice business activity.

In the B2B ICT segment, Telkom reported Rp3.1 trillion in revenue. Amid ongoing restructuring, business activity has slowed as the company adopts a more disciplined and selective approach to new partnerships.

Although this has caused short-term slowdown, the restructuring is part of efforts to achieve healthier margins, eliminate product overlap, and strengthen long-term competitive positioning in the market.
